Proudly Canadian Badges

Two live badges, each linking to the page that proves it. One for websites that support Canadian web services, and one for the service providers themselves. Paste them in a footer, a README, or an About page.

For websites and supporters

Shows how Canadian a site's stack is and links to its report.

For service providers

Shows a provider's Canadian Friendly Score and links to its page in the database. Not listed yet? Ask from any provider page.

What the site badge looks like

Graded badge
Graded
Grade and score for sites we could read and rate.
Inconclusive badge
Inconclusive
We could not see enough of the stack to grade it fairly, usually a CDN hiding the origin.
Not yet scanned badge
Not yet scanned
The domain has no report yet. Loading the badge triggers a scan in the background.

How it stays honest

  • It is live. The image is generated from the latest report every time it loads, cached for an hour. Move your hosting and the badge follows within a day.
  • It always links back. Anyone can click through to the full report and see exactly which services earned or lost points.
  • You cannot pick your number. There is no account and no setting. The badge shows what the scanner found, including a bad grade.
  • Anyone can put one up. Because the badge is just a link to a public report, a fake badge is pointless: the report behind it is what people trust.

Questions

My grade is lower than I expected. What can I do?

Open your report. Each check lists the services it found and their scores. Switching one provider, most often hosting or email, usually moves the grade. If a service is rated wrongly, send a correction from its service page.

The badge says "Inconclusive".

Your origin is hidden behind a CDN and the page exposed nothing else we could rate. Adding an Organization block with a Canadian address in your structured data helps, and so does telling us more on your report's survey.

Does the badge track my visitors?

No. It is a static SVG served through a cache. We keep no per-visitor logs.

Can I get a bigger one, or a dark version?

Not yet. One size, 200 by 44, so it looks the same everywhere. Ask if you need another.
